In Japanese, "San Rensho" is a mark of honor given to a
three time champion and widely considered a national
standard of excellence. When Alive invited me to take<
part in their new collection of watches with the same
name, I made an effort to keep within parallel themes.
The end result shows two custom designed gold exhibition
medals that signify a cross-continental handshake between
San Francisco and Tokyo.
Of course, I also mix in my own unique ingredients
including a leather band with argyle pattern, detailed
gold refinement, and a custom second hand in the shape
of a paper plane.
